Friday was a great day! I met Mrs. R and Muse IRL! I even convinced Bryan to go with me to The Belle Boutique. They were selling their amazing jewelry from the r house couture and debuting their line of adoption clothing! While Parker was busy smelling everything at the Sentsy tabel, I purchased a shirt for him. As Muse was wrapping it up in this adorable box, Mrs. R said that I was the first person to buy one! (She tweeted, facebooked and blogged about it too!) I thought, well we need a picture of this! It was all very exciting! Then we took Parker to the pumpkin patch and out to lunch. It was a great day hanging out with my boys and meeting a couple of celebrities from the adoption world!

Cali Vacation!
Bryan and I went to California with Dustin and Lindsey last week. It was a LONG drive, but we really had so much fun! We saw Gary, Bliss and baby Riley. Then we headed up to LA to Magic Mountain. It was a cold day, but didn't rain on us at least. Bryan and Dustin finally got to ride the Batman roller coaster and actually meet Batman! Very cool! We rode some pretty crazy coasters! Some were too crazy for me like the Tatsu and X2! The next day we went to Knotts Berry Farm. It rained on us for part of the day, but was warmer. The first ride we went on was a wooden coaster called Ghost Rider. We were laughing so hard when we saw our picture, that we just had to buy it! The next day was really rainy, so instead of going back to Knotts for a second day, we drove down to San Diego. The closer we got the nicer the weather got. Thanks to a recommendation from Gary, we went to Point Loma. It was beautiful. We saw anemones and crabs and the weather was warm and sunny! We took a ton of pictures and had a great time! We were so glad to come home to Parker and hope that next time we go, we will be taking him to Disneyland!

The R House WON!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! To all of those that joined me in praying for the Redfern family. They won their contested adoption case on Wed! They finalized and filed their adoption decree and have a date set to take their sweet g baby to the temple! The birth father has 30 days to appeal. Go here to read Mrs. R's post about what happened when the judge rendered his decision. Thanks again to everyone who prayed on their behalf. I know they are truly grateful!

What are you doing this Sunday?
This post is especially for those of you who live in Idaho Falls. I am totally jealous that you have the opportunity to attend a fireside with this amazing woman. I wish I could go, but I will be arriving in San Diego, your turn to be jealous of me ; ) about the time she will be educating and inspiring the lucky people of Idaho Falls! Here is the info:
Taylor Mountain Stake Center
260 Castlerock Lane, Idaho Falls, ID 83404
(it's right behind Taylorview Jr High)
6pm
...and there will even be treats.
She will be speaking on finding hope through infertility and adoption. If you know anyone who would benefit from this fireside, please spread the word!

Bear Lake
We took our annual trip to Bear Lake with my family over Labor Day weekend. We were a little concerned about the weather, but we had been looking forward to it all summer, so we weren't going to let that stop us! We stopped in Logan for Bryan to finish up some paper work with clients and have lunch. We arrived at the campground, got our new tent set up, (love it!) then Dustin and Lindsey arrived. We helped them set up their tent and then we were off to the Quick 'n Tasty for burgers and raspberry shakes, a Bear Lake tradition. The weather on Sat was a little cold, but the kids didn't seem to mind. They still had a blast playing in the water and making sand castles. It rained on us later that night, but not for very long. The kids had so much fun playing flashlight hide and go seek in our campsite Sun night. Monday the weather was a ton better and we made the most of it and played all day! Jack even convinced Mamma to drive a wave runner fully clothed! We had such a great time and are so glad to have this tradition to look forward too every year!
Parker had sand on his nose and thought it was so funny
One of Parker's favorite things to do at the lake is 'ride the tube'
Sadly, this is the best picture we took of the three of us
Parker and his cousin Jackson hiding in the bushes, it really was dark
and it took a while for the girls to find them
They hid Addi in this camp chair bag, it was hilarious
It was Parker's turn to 'seek' Daddy helped him count

and it took a while for the girls to find them

Blogging for Dummies
So, I am trying to put together an adoption blog in the hopes that we can get our money, application, homestudy etc. etc. etc. done by the end of the year. It's basically a place where potential birth parents can go to learn about family our and see pictures of us. I have looked at several other adoption blogs and have some ideas of what I would like it to look like, but I am a blogging dummy. I have seen some that don't show the date of each post. I have seen some that have a 'welcome' sort of message in the main body of the blog and then links on the side bar to each section. Does anyone know how to do either one of these? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, let everyone you know we are hoping to adopt again. You never know when someone will hear of birth parents looking for an adoptive couple. That's how we found Parker! Thanks again for your help!
